Chief Executive |
| Paul Moore is the new Chief Executive of Quarriers and joins us from Action for Children where he was Strategic Director for the north of England.
He's worked in a variety of roles over the years in the area of children and young people, working in local government for 29 years before moving to the voluntary sector four years ago. |

Gerry Wells - Service Director for Central Scotland |

Gerry joined Quarriers as a Service Manager in January 2004.
He became a Service Director in May 2009. He carries responsibility for services in Quarriers Central Region and Lead Director responsibility for Quarriers Adult Disability and Epilepsy services. After qualifying as a social worker Gerry worked in local authorities in the West of Scotland for 26 years. Starting as a generic social worker in area team social work, Gerry’s career immersed him in local authority statutory services, subsequently focusing on community care, and later being a commissioner of services for adults with learning disabilities. |

Helen Hunter - Service Director for Glasgow and North |
Helen Hunter joined Quarriers in July 2009 as Service Director Glasgow & North Region.
Helen also has a lead role in the organisations work with Children and Families and Young Adults. Helen gained a social science degree and a social work qualification at Paisley and has worked with a variety of groups in the field of social care for over 25 years across both public and voluntary sector organisations. During Helen’s career, she has specialised in work with children, families and young adults. Prior to coming to Quarriers, Helen was Assistant Director, West of Scotland, with CHILDREN 1ST |

Glynis Elgey RGN, BA Health & Social Sciences Service Director for South West Scotland & South West England |

| Glynis Elgey qualified as a nurse in 1973. She joined Quarriers in 1997 as a Project Manager to develop a short breaks service for children with disabilities, having worked in this field for many years. Glynis has been a Service Manager since 1999 initially in the Children, Families and Young People sector, and later also managed services for adults. Glynis was also Operational Manager introducing Quarriers in South West England. |

| Karen Croan joined Quarriers as Director of Human Resources in June 2005. Karen has worked in the care and health sector now for 15 years and is a Psychology Honours Graduate and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. |

| Laurie Gardner came to Quarriers in April 2002 after nearly twenty years involved with fundraising for voluntary organisations and as a consultant - covering work in Local Community, Overseas Development & Humanitarian Aid, Built Heritage, Environmental and now, Social Care sectors. |

Hugh Walker BA FCA
Director of Finance & Corporate Services |
| Hugh Walker joined Quarriers in January 2001 as Director of Finance and Corporate Services having worked in the same capacity for another large charity. Hugh trained as a chartered accountant and worked in international practice for over ten years before moving to industry as a Commercial and Finance Director. Prior to working in the charity sector, Hugh also worked in an operational role as a Directorate Manager within the Health Services. |
