Charitable Trusts

Quarriers relies on the generosity of our many supporters, including charitable trusts and grant making bodies.  Donations of all sizes are extremely valuable to our work either as a contribution to our general costs or towards a specific project or service.

Over the years grants have helped us develop many new initiatives and make improvements to many of our life changing services.  This includes;

  • Extending the living room area at Quarriers Countryview.  Countryview provides a short break service to families caring for a child with a disability.   All the children and young people now enjoy a bigger living room area where they can take part in more games and play activities.

  • A Young Person’s Inclusion Worker to support Quarriers Voices in Projects (ViP) Group. Quarriers ViP Group provides a forum for young people affected by homelessness to speak out on issues and services that affect them and to influence policy making.

  • An annual calendar of social activities for children affected by parental substance misuse.

  • A programme of music therapy sessions for young adults with complex disabilities supported by a Quarriers respite service.

  • New play equipment for Quarriers Family Support Centres.

  • New sensory equipment for Quarriers Mavisbank – a short break service for adults with a disability.

If you are involved with a charitable trust or grant making body and would like to find out more about how you can support Quarriers please get in touch.
