Community Fundraising Volunteer
Quarriers Fundraising Department - Quarriers Village
Our Fundraising department are responsible for generating all funds for Quarriers. We rely on people like you to help us keep our services running and to allow us to support people in the best way possible.
A Volunteer is needed to assist with the organization of community fundraising activities including; talks to groups, collecting cans, Choir singing at the local shopping centre, bag packs and other community events.
Main Tasks:
- Organising events and activities
- Working with and co-ordinating the local committee
- Counting/banking & banking money
- Making/developing new Contacts
- Liason with Events and Community Fundraising Team
- Building local relationships
Required Skills/Qualities/Experience:
- Good communications skills
- Good Numeracy skills
- Good Geographical knowledge
- Good time keeping
- Agrees and supports Quarriers ethos
- Trustworthy
- Ability to travel
- Flexible
- Outgoing
- Enthusiastic & approachable
- Organised
The opportunity will take place in the Inverclyde area or alternatively Lanarkshire area, ongoing with no other set times.
Commitment Required:
This depends on the work undertaken but many of the activities are straight forward and easy to organise. This could possibly only require around 4-5 hours per month.
Training:
Pre-event meeting/briefing with events team as well as on the job training.
Minimum age is 18.
