Volunteer DIY person
Supporting people in North Ayrshire
Quarriers North Ayrshire Supported Accommodation is a residential project for young homeless people male and female aged 16 - 25 years. The main purpose of the project is to support young people to gain independent living skills through a programme of structured one ot one workshops also support with dependency issues and emotional support before moving on to permanent social housing.
The purpose of the volunteer role is to assist in DIY tasks i.e. painting, building up of beds, putting up blinds and repairing furniture etc. Undertaking odd jobs around the project as required. This will not include gas or electrical work.
This will suit an individual who is familiar with DIY and has the appropriate skills in this area. The volunteer will be based in the project in Saltcoats and the time commitment is flexible. The project is adjacent to a bus stop, train station and the town centre. Travel expenses will be provided.
