Riverview Respite, Quarriers Village

Riverview Respite Unit - Offers short breaks to adults with disabilties. There are over 100 hundred people who use the service and they are aged between 18-65.

The volunteer's role will be to organise activities and support people during these activities. The volunteer may also support an individual to attend various outings. Outings may include the cinema, bowling, arcades, Largs,etc.

This volunteering role will enhance the quality of life for individuals and enable them to pursue recreational and social activities.

The hours are flexible according to availablity of the volunteer.

The ideal volunteer will have good communication and social skills, and will be reliable.

No experience is necessary as in house mentoring will be given as part of your induction. Training is also available through Quarriers.

The project is based in Quarriers village, where transport links are not very good, therefore own transport is preferable.

Out of pocket expenses will be paid.
