Volunteer Befriender

Renfrewshire Supported Living Initiative

The Renfrewshire Supported Living Initiative Support people in a residential setting. One of the people being supported requires a befriender to accompany him on outings and to access activities. The volunteer will be providing this individual with more opportunities and will allow the person being supported to build more relationships.

You will have good social and organisation skills, good communication skills, and experience working with people with disabilities would be an advantage. We would prefer a male volunteer as all the staff are female and this would allow the person being suppoorted to build male relationships, we would also prefer someone over 18-due to the role of the volunteer. Necessary training will be provided in house.
