Volunteer Gardener required to assist with upkeep of garden, engage with residents and try and promote the positives of garden and upkeep of the same. Show residents the benefits of gardening, work experinece and promoting self esteem etc.

Quarriers Stopover Project based in Glasgow provides homeless supported accommodation for young single people aged 16 - 25 years. The accommodation is for young people in a crisis many of whom have addiction issues, offending behaviour, family breakdown, history of care, abuse etc.

The main tasks are to prepare the garden for planting of shurbs etc, general upkeep of grounds, cutting grass and weeding. Basic gardening experience is required,patience and understanding of our client group, good sense of humour and good team player. The role is flexible probably one day per week happy to discuss availability with volunteer.

Good quality internal training programme, regular supervision approximately once every 4-6 weeks.
There is excellent bus and train links, easily accessible from the motorway and parking available.
Any out of pocket expenses will be provided.
