A number of fraudulent emails are in circulation claiming to be from Quarriers, seeking individuals to cash cheques or money orders through their personal bank accounts on our behalf.
Recently we have also received reports of the fraudsters placing small advertisements with the same message in local newspapers in North America.
Quarriers never asks people to undertake financial transactions of this nature.
We are angry that fraudsters are using Quarriers’ name and history to take advantage of good people who believe these emails are a way to help children and young people in need. Unfortunately there is little we can do to stop these emails.
If you receive any emails which look suspicious, please treat them with caution – do not respond to them and do not part with personal or financial information. If you have already fallen victim to this fraud, please report it via your local police website.
As a well-respected charity with a long history of caring for people, Quarriers needs donations and support from individuals and organizations around the world. If you would like to support our work please visit the support Quarriers section of this website.
