Good King Wenceslas Looked Out Over Princes Square...
Choirs and bands from schools and clubs across the West of Scotland gather throughout December at Glasgow's Princes Square for the annual Festival of Choirs to raise vital funds for Quarriers.
Over 1200 musicians (aged 6 - 65+) take part in the concerts - a mixture of choir singing, band and orchestral performances as well as contemporary style music.
What we do:
- co-ordinate the choirs and provide each with an allotted performance time
- arrange for a piano to be available
- organise microphones and a PA system
- arrange a safe place for the choirs to get ready and leave their belongings
- help co-ordinate your collectors and place them in the best locations
What you do:
- prepare a repertoire of Christmas songs to perform
- find your way to Princes Square
- provide as many collectors for the day as you can
- sing!
