Phil Robinson, chief executive of Quarriers, said today: “Our sympathies, as always, lie with the survivors of historic abuse.
We, as an organisation, support the recommendations of The Historic Abuse Systemic Review which was published today; and also support any systems that further raise the standards that already exist to help ensure that this never happens again in our society.
In particular, we commend the plans for a national task group to be created in Scotland to oversee services for children in care and those living in residential homes; and that a centre should also be set up to help former victims of abuse in children's homes.”
