Quarriers needs you to care

Leading Scottish care charity, Quarriers will be in the Dumfries area over the next few weeks as part of a door to door fundraising campaign to help raise money for some of the most disadvantaged people in the country.

The recruiters, who will all be carrying identification, will be talking to people about Quarriers work in supporting families, homeless young people, carers and people with epilepsy.

Morag Fleming, head of individual giving at Quarriers, said: “Door to door fundraising has proven to be a successful way of informing people about the organisation as well as helping to raise money. I’d ask locals to please spare some time to listen to what our representatives have to say and help support our valuable work in Scottish communities by signing up to a monthly direct debit. This is an entirely safe way to support Quarriers and means that we are able to plan long term support for our services.”

Quarriers is a member of the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA), a voluntary self-regulatory body for organisations involved in fundraising by direct debit on the street and door-to-door.
