You may have read of the dispute between Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group. This has meant the foundation has had to suspend its grant making activities for the foreseeable future.
Lloyds TSB Foundation is funded by 1% of the profits from the bank. This arrangement has funded projects across Scotland to the tune of £84 million. But the future of the Foundation is now under threat following recent moves by the Lloyds Banking Group. The Bank has taken steps to change the terms and conditions of the Foundation but the foundation is resisting these moves.
Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland has supported many of Quarriers services over the years. We are dismayed at the loss of funding to the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland by the banking group. However Quarriers is very proud to see the foundation take such a strong stand not just for the foundation but for the Scottish charity sector as a whole.
