Cherry House provides individual residential support for up to two young people at any one time. Placements can either be on a short- term or long-term basis, which is negotiated at the time of referral.
The project is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspectorate as a children's home, and is able to take young people from 5-18 years of age, either male or female, although placements must be of the same sex at any given time.
Young people are supported and guided with all activities of daily living including household tasks, and are also given the opportunity to do activities like other young people of a similar age, such as join local clubs. Out of area placements may be considered but the young person must have an educational placement. This may need to be negotiated with the local authority.
Referrals can be either made directly to Quarriers or to the local Contracts office at Bath & North East Somerset.
