Fred Martin Project Adult Placement Scheme Project provides adults with learning disabilities, from long stay hospitals, the opportunity of living valued and fulfilled lives in the community.
At present we have 17 placements. Service users live with carers as one of the family, and each person attends a local resource centre.
Our carers support the service users in all aspects of daily living. Family placement offers people great benefits including continuity, consistence in care and close relationships.
Project workers support the placements by visiting regularly and liaising with many agencies involved in the persons care.
Link/Respite carers provide an essential service by providing a break for carers and a different experience for the service user.
Our carers have made a huge difference to the lives of the people they support.
