Who are we?
We are a small team of skilled, experienced and professional Person Centred Planning facilitators in one of the longest running Person Centred Planning Services in Scotland.
We are an independent service. This means that although we are managed by Quarriers we are not linked to any other Quarriers service.
We work with individuals, and groups, of all ages and abilities.
What do we do?
We use a creative approach to working with individuals, groups and teams to help them think about changes they want to make;
- We work with individuals who require support to plan for change. They are at the centre (the ‘focus person’) of the planning process. We get to know them and they choose who will be involved in the process e.g. friends, family, neighbours and professionals. The focus person is involved in every aspect of the planning process
- We work with groups and teams to create a shared vision, and give everyone an equal opportunity to contribute to the direction of the team
- We provide training for individuals, groups and teams that is innovative, creative and inspiring.
- We use graphic recording at Conference, and in seminars and workshops and in all aspects of planning.
How do we do it?
We make things happen by using Person Centred Planning tools, and we tailor our approach to the individual or group and their particular situation. Each tool is designed to result in a practical plan for action!
Examples of some of these tools are:
- Essential Lifestyle Planning,
- Map,
- Path,
- Solution circles
- Individual Service Design.
Graphic facilitation is used throughout our work. It is an integral part of the planning process that helps participants think creatively, re-frames ideas, aids forward planning and creates a shared vision for action.
