This service has been developed to support three people with learning disabilities to have an ordinary living experience. Support is provided on a 24 hour basis, including wakened night cover.
The accommodation is comprised of a three bedroomed detached bungalow set in a quiet cul-de-sac in the North East of Glasgow. This is a housing support service, with each individual having his or her own tenancy agreement.
The aims of the service are to provide a homely, safe and nuturing environment. The service seeks, through individual support packages based on the principles of person centred planning, to allow the people we support to achieve autonomy and choice in their support, and in the opportunities that they pursue. Project staff promote the individual's life skills and use of their resources within the broader community, including the use of appropriate leisure/recreational activities.
Referrals are received from the Local Authority Social Work Department. Support can be provided to young and older adults alike.
