For over seven years Quarriers has enjoyed a successful partnership with the Taganka Children's Fund (TCF) based in Moscow, Russia. TCF offer a wide range of services to single parents and their children in a deprived inner city area. Initially through a Community Fund grant, Quarriers supported a small locally based group of volunteers with advice and guidance in relation to capacity building with the goal of creating a self-sufficient, professional organisation.
Today TCF is a thriving project with a credible reputation in the field of support to children and families. Their increased fundraising capacity has led to a wide range of donors both corporate and individual, allowing their services to not only continue, but grow. The project provides educational classes for children and adults, counselling and practical support to those families in greatest need as well as providing legal advice through a recently appointed Social Lawyer.
