People’s Postcode Trust award £9,583 to develop the garden at Dunn Street
Quarriers Dunn Street service in Clydebank provides short breaks for adults with disabilities. Following a generous grant in 2010 which helped us to create a fantastic sensory room, The People’s Postcode Trust have now awarded a further £9,583 so that we can develop the garden at the service.
We want to make the garden safe and secure with new fencing, then add planters and furniture in natural materials which will hold a selection of highly scented plants and flowers, and enable us to grow our own veggies. Lighting and a water feature will add to the overall relaxed feeling which we want to create. Weather permitting, we hope to start work on the garden soon and have everything ready for spring time, so that we can make full use of the garden in 2012.
The People’s Postcode Trust is fully funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery, Scotland’s own charity lottery. This grant represents the sixth grant which we have been fortunate to receive from The People’s Postcode Trust, all of which have made a huge difference to the people who use Quarriers services.?
