Quarriers contributes to the Equal Opportunities Committee
On Tuesday 12 June young people supported by Quarriers went to the Scottish Parliament to talk about homelessness. They discussed their experiences and what they think is needed to prevent homelessness in young people.
Byron Carruthers, who is supported by Quarriers and who had been homeless, told the Equal Opportunities Committee there should be an "age limit" for people to be allowed to go into homelessness and it should be 18 years old.
Kate Sanford, Quarriers called efforts to be made to bridge the gap between a difficult family, before the family situation breaks down, by offering "breathing space" through a respite programme.
