Quarriers gets five-figure funding boost for staff training
Quarriers is to benefit from a £34,000 Scottish Government funding boost to train frontline staff.
The Voluntary Sector Development Fund grant will be used by Quarriers to train social care workers to the registration standards set by the Scottish Social Services Council. The money will also help us to give staff opportunities to gain new qualifications over the next year.
Quarriers chief executive Paul Moore said: “As a charity Quarriers has always been committed to ensuring our staff have the opportunity to reach their full potential through high quality education and training. We are therefore delighted to have received money from the Scottish Government’s Voluntary Sector Development Fund which will see Quarriers continue to invest in our talented and committed social care staff.”
The Scottish Government’s Voluntary Sector Development Fund assists voluntary sector organisations in meeting the costs of developing a highly trained and qualified workforce.
