SING FOR QUARRIERS: CALL FOR SINGERS FOR CHARITY JUBILEE EVENT IN BATH

Award-winning charity Quarriers is looking for singers to raise their voices at a Jubilee programme of 'Songs from the British Isles' to be held at Bath’s Parade Gardens on Saturday 19 May at 3pm.

Singers of all ages and experiences are invited to take part in the special event, which is being organised to support Quarriers’ work with children and young people with disabilities and emotional difficulties in Bath and Wiltshire.

Event organiser Ruth McKibbin, a Bath resident and soprano and choral conductor, said: "This is a fun family event and we looking for as many people as possible to help raise much-needed funds to allow vulnerable and disadvantaged children from our local projects to have a seaside holiday, sometimes for the first time in their lives."

A rehearsal will take place in St Mary's RC Parish Hall, Julian Road, Bath on Sunday 6th May at 2pm.

To join in or for more information, please contact Ruth McKibbin at Quarriers South West Regional Office on 01225 339913 or email ruth.mckibbin@quarriers.org.uk.

Entry to 'Songs from the British Isles' will be free for Bath residents, with a small charge for non-residents (£1.20 adults; 80p concessions) for entry to the Parade Gardens. Volunteers will be collecting donations.

Quarriers has been working to provide care and support for vulnerable children and adults locally since 2004.
