Genealogy and Records Service
What is the Genealogy and Records Service?
The Genealogy and records service is a contact point for enquirers wanting to know about the records held by the organisation since the 1870s when William Quarrier opened his first night shelter for Glasgow street children.
If you yourself used to stay in the Homes - or you are enquiring to assist a former resident - then you can request access to your record. Read more
If you are a descendent of a person who stayed here, you can apply for a copy of the records for which there is a £25 fee from here. You can also make an initial enquiry to confirm that your ancestor was resident here without charge - please fill out the basic enquiry form.
