Training courses from Quarriers can be delivered on-site at our excellent training facilities within Quarriers Village, Bridge of Weir, or externally to suit the needs of your organisation. We aim to offer you a high quality range of training courses at competitive rates.

Our Training Team

The Training Department consists of 20 highly trained professionals from a variety of backgrounds including nursing, administration and social work. A key role within the department is the Learning and Development Marketing Manager: whose responsibility it is to market, sell and deliver training courses to suit your need. Quarriers trainers are of the highest standard: qualified and experienced in their respective disciplines. Our trainers are either employed within the Training Department or work within the organisation operationally.

Offering A Warm Welcome

Quarriers Gateway Training Department was established initially to meet the development needs of Quarriers staff. Now, due to increasing demand for training within the sector, we're able to make these superbly equipped facilities available for external organisations to book.

Quarriers Gateway training venues offer a bright, spacious and welcoming environment which can be tailored to meet your organisation’s needs.

Facilities

The available rooms at the Gateway are:

  • Conference Room
  • Training Room
  • Seminar Room
  • IT Suite
  • Practical Room

Available in all rooms are a projector for computer presentations, laptop, overhead projector, TV and video.

The Gateway has wheelchair access and all training rooms are on the ground floor. In addition, there is an accessible toilet. Tea and coffee is provided throughout the day. Catering for full day courses is also available - please ask for details.

The Conference Room

This room can easily accommodate 24 people seated, with an assortment of table configurations. The room is equipped with a flip chart, whiteboard and projection screen.

The Training and Seminar Rooms

These rooms can accommodate 16 and 10 people respectively, and again have an assortment of tables for easy configuration. Both rooms are equipped with whiteboard, screen and flipchart.

The I.T. Suite

Our IT Suite provides 10 desktop computers all with flat screens and read/write CD ROM drivers. All computers have speakers with the option of headphones. Microsoft Office 2003 software is installed with Windows XP. The layout and acoustics of this room lends itself to all types of training and learning. There are a number of specialised pieces of equipment for users who have manual dexterity difficulties, i.e. large type keyboard, forearm support, height adjustable desk and adapted mouse.
This suite is available for day and evening bookings.

Practical Room

The Practical Room consists of a seated area for approximately 15 people. The room has been customised for moving and handling training and has a large floor space with a variety of equipment including two beds and two hoists. The room is also equipped with TV, video, DVD and OHP.
