WOW!!
Just wanted to share with you our experience on our latest mad fundraiser - Brave the Bug on Sunday 5 th September 2004.
Gillian and I drove to Dunkeld on Tuesday 6 th July (1 & ½ away from Glasgow) to try it out. The staff team from Nae Limits were fantastic and very supportive in our half day of madness. River bugging is a bit like white water rafting except you are going down the river in your very own bug, something which looks like an inflatable sledge dodging your way through 6 fast moving rapids.
As a non-swimmer I was petrified but the very attractive wet suit, life jacket, flippers, webbed gloves (ha ha) and support and advice from Mark our instructor reassured me that everything would be fine.
We survived our trip to Dunkeld and are back (in one piece) to tell the tale. We had a FABBY time and would definitely do it again.
We have 20 places available and I would love to see you there. You do need to be reasonably fit as you need to carry your bug (which can get quite heavy) for some small distances down to the river.
River bugging is the latest adventure sport to hit Scotland. Previously only available in Australia & New Zealand, Quarriers is the first charity in Scotland to offer this.
Our river bugging day out was fantastic! WOW what an experience!
