The Great Glen Cycle Challenge from Inverness to Fort William will see you travelling 75 miles over two days through some of the most amazing scenery in Britain.
You’ll cycle along the famous Loch Ness and the Caledonian Canal before finishing in Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis.
Day 1
Inverness to Fort Augustus
24 miles cycling, 20 miles by boat
44 miles total
Day 2
Fort Augustus to Fort William
31 miles cycling
31 miles total
Registration Fee - £50
Payable on registration and non-refundable.
Minimum sponsorship - £600
Half of this will pay for the trip with the remainder being donated to Quarriers.
What’s included in the cost of the challenge?
- Mountain bike hire
- Spare bikes in case of breakage
- Lead cycle guide/first aider/bike mechanic
- Rear cycle guide/first aider/bike mechanic
- Support vehicle with WEMT
- Group first aid supplies
- Hostel accommodation at Inverness and Fort Augustus including breakfast
- Hotel accommodation at Fort William including celebratory dinner and breakfast
- Lunches on the challenge
- Water refill station with snack bars and fruit whilst cycling
- Boat down Loch Ness to Fort Augustus
- Transport back to Inverness after the challenge
