The Great Scottish Walk

The Great Scottish Walk is one of the most fun and exciting walks in Scotland!

You can choose a 6 mile walk or a 12 mile walk, as an individual or part of a team and this includes people of all ages.  You don't even have to be seriously fit to conquer either walks. In 2007 Quarriers had 57 walkers involed in the walk with staff members, people we support as well as some of our supporters.

The day is packed full of entertainment with disco buses, carnival bands, free give aways, competitions, games and rides all along the route. You can even bring your dog along but please use a lead during the walk. Every walker receives a medal and certificate to celebrate completing the walk and will be given a Quarriers T-shirt with walking goody bag..

There is also a Golden Mile option for those who feel they cannot manage the 6 or 12 mile walks.  It is aimed at people from all walks of life – young, elderly, disabled or those who would like to become more active in their lives. Team participation is also encouraged and you are free to enter as many team members as you like so bring your friends and family.
