Support for adults with a disability

Adults with disability have to overcome many challenges in life. Ignorance shouldn’t be one of them. At Quarriers we work with the person not the disability.
Providing support for adults with a disability can be a complex process. It can require patience, expertise and long hours. It can also be hugely rewarding and inspiring. At Quarriers we believe that the support we provide for adults with a disability should always be person-centred. So we assess needs, find solutions and discuss options. But at the heart of everything we put the person, not the disability, first.
Working with adults with disability
Quarriers have years of experience of supporting adults with a disability in Scotland. So we know that there are many ways in which disability can affect lives. We know that each person with disability responds to different levels of support. Quarriers specialise in working with people with learning disabilities and complex physical disabilities. We help adults with acquired brain injury to rebuild their lives and give adults with autism the support which helps them make better sense of their world.
Quarriers provide care at home, specialised care home support and respite/short breaks for adults with a disability and their families.
Adult fostering and family placement service
Quarriers Fred Martin Service offers respite care for adults and recruitment for respite carers. Short breaks, weekends or full weeks - up to six weeks respite every year.
