Glen Valley

Glen Valley supports adults with physical and/or learning disabilities to live as independently as possible. The services is situated in a beautiful two storey Victorian building set in the heart of Quarriers village.

Glen Valley has:

  • en–suite bathrooms in every bedroom
  • an internal lift
  • a large bathroom with jacuzzi bath
  • a tracking hoist for anyone who needs extra support in moving around in some of the bedrooms and bathroom
  • an open plan kitchen diner/lounge where most people spend their time
  • a cosy smaller lounge to chill out in
  • a conservatory

We offer support on  a residential basis. This is day time care and sleepover staff at night and provide a diversity of support to people who want to be independent. This includes being respected, safe, keeping in touch with family and friends, making informed choices in their lives, maintaining existing skills, learning new skills and enjoying their lives and what they do.

To support this diversity of support we have a staff team who are qualified in organisational training and registered with the SSSC, they work hard to ensure that this is an inclusive support service. Anybody visiting Glen Valley can see this happen every day when staff ask people that they would like to do, who they want to see, what they want to learn, where would they like to go, who do they want working here, who would they like to visit or to visit them, what do you they want to change or buy for their home.

Glen Valley has maintained grade 6’s from the Care Commission and now SCSWIS over the last two years.
