Chavey Down

Chavey Down offers both residential and home based short breaks. Our residential service is available to children between the ages of 0-18 while our home based service is available to children and young people between the age of 0-21.

Chavey Down enables a flexible approach to family life by being able to provide either residential or home based short breaks or a combination of both.

We have six single bedrooms in an adapted bungalow where we promote a person centered approach to short breaks as well as ensuring choice.  We have our own vehicle which will help you to get to places you would like to visit.

The home base service provides flexible short break support that is able to offer additional support as well as respite for families.

We are continuing to evolve and recognise the flexibility we are able to offer, for example we recently supported two young men on a short break weekend away.

While Chavey Down can be accessed by referral through agencies such as social work, NHS or education, it is also possible to access us through self referral and direct payment.
