Falkirk Children's Rights Service

The service works with young people aged between 0 and 19.

We support children and young people who fall into any of the following categories:

  • Looked After Children / Leaving Care
  • Homelessness
  • Disability
  • Child Protection
  • Employment Legislation

We will speak up for children and young people

The Children’s Rights Officer will act in the best interests of the children and young people whose rights they will seek to promote and protect, respecting the confidentiality and individuality of any young person who is referred to or approaches the Children’s Rights Officer for independent and impartial advice, support or advocacy.

Referred children and young people will be as involved as possible in the initial assessment of their issues, and in identifying paths and barriers towards desired solutions.

The service will link closely with all key providers to children, families and young people in Falkirk, and will welcome and encourage the involvement of Falkirk Children’s Commission.
