Oban Rooftops

Oban Rooftops outreach service was introduced as asupport service to young people living in their own homes or intemporary accommodation in Oban.

We aim to provide support to allow you to develop the skills tomaintain your own home. We can provide help while youestablish yourself in the community.

We understand the feelings that maintaining your own home canbring and the huge responsibility that you may feel you’re takingon. But with our support, we can help you maintain your tenancyand provide you with a flexible support service.

We will arrange to come and see you in your own home, or ifyou prefer, you can meet us at our office. We’ll discuss withyou any help you need and what we can offer you. If you decide you would like our support we will put together a plan with you that meets your needs.

We can help you with:

  • Accessing and claiming benefits
  • Filling in forms
  • Independent living skills (e.g. cooking, housekeeping etc.)
  • Emotional support
  • BudgetingRent arrears
  • Attending appointments
  • Getting your gas and electricity connected
  • Accessing furniture
  • Further education and finding a job
  • Feeling isolated from the community
  • Advocacy and mediation
