Haresfield Service

Haresfield is located in a small village on the outskirts of Chippenham in Wiltshire. It provides long term residential care for young people who have severe learning disabilities aged between 10 and 18.

All residential childcare workers are trained to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care for Children and Young People or equivalent.  Specialist training is available in house and externally to meet individual’s needs i.e. Autism, Intensive Interaction, Introduction into Makaton, Attachment, CALM, additional communication and others. Staff provide care and support 52 weeks of the year.

Up to five children/young people can live at Haresfield at any one time. Every effort is made to make children and young people feel secure, relaxed and comfortable within a home-like environment. We work closely with parents, carers and professionals to ensure that excellent standards of care are offered. Staff work closely with children and young people to promote and develop their independence, self esteem and confidence. Person centre planning is at the core of our service delivery. The Ofsted rating for Haresfield’s Inspections in 2010/2011 has been Outstanding.
