Care Home services
Quarriers provides a number of small residential services for people who have epilepsy and require ongoing 24 hour support and monitoring. Our residential services provide:
- Specialised equipment, i.e. tracking hoist, nurse call system, bed seizure alarms
- Adapted accommodation to suit the needs of the people we support who have epilepsy including adaptations to kitchen and bathroom with specially designed baths
- Single room accommodation with en-suite facilities
- Access to 24 hour support, provided using the principles of person-centred approachesTrained staff to provide a safe and secure environment for people who have epilepsy
Quarriers’ supports individuals to access:
- employment opportunities
- further education
- leisure pursuits
And also to:
- maintain links to existing relationships and develop new networks
- develop skills to enhance the individual’s independence
- understand and learn about epilepsy
- raise awareness of others about epilepsy through Quarriers inclusion team and through networking with others who have epilepsy.
Our staff take pride in having the necessary skills to promote and support the individual’s self esteem through enabling them to develop their independence skills and ensue that the views of people who have epilepsy are heard through local politicians and nationally at the relevant parliaments.
