Quarriers Safeguarding

What is safeguarding?

Safeguarding means protecting children and adults at risk from harm or abuse. All safeguarding activity is concerned with the preservation of Human Rights (for example, dignity, wellbeing, equality and respect). Harm and abuse occur whenever a person’s dignity is eroded through a misuse of power by a person in a dominant position (often of trust too). This is a common denominator through Child and Adult Protection.

What do we do

Quarriers Safeguarding Team will:

  • have an overview of all child protection and adult protection matters for Quarriers offering advice, guidance and support to all staff and services when required.
  • have responsibility to further develop already existing safeguarding good practice across Quarriers, beginning with the collection of information, consultation with key managers and staff, and a review of Adult and Child Protection policies and procedures.
