Quarriers Children’s Fund Appeal

By donating today you can make a child’s wish come true

Hundreds of children and young people supported by Quarriers have experienced multiple disadvantage in recent times.
They have missed out on the new experiences, adventures and fun that are so important to childhood development. And they need something we’ve all been cheated of – the chance to have something good to look forward to.
We need to help them put it all behind them.
Because we don’t know exactly what will be possible – or when- we’re asking for your help to create the Quarriers Children’s Fund. We want to give over 900 children, young people and families we support the chance of fun experiences, material resources and any emergency help they may need.

Please help us be there with whatever help is needed, whenever it is needed in the coming year.

Now more than ever, we need to fund opportunities for rest and relaxation for children who have faced big challenges in recent months.

  • Sammy and her mum fled domestic violence.
  • Lewis’s dad lives with chronic pain so Lewis has to help look after his three siblings.
  • Molly has autism and any changes to her routine are frightening for her.
  • Jack’s mum has mental health issues and he struggles to have friends at school.
  • Cara is in sixth year but has struggled with her mood since her mum died a year ago.

Although it seems that these are extreme situations, they are common among the children we support. None of it is their fault, but they’re dealing with worries far too heavy for such young shoulders.

Make a donation to Quarriers Children’s Fund today and help us be there with whatever is needed, whenever it is needed.

You could help a child like Jenna.

Jenna’s dad sustained an acquired brain injury and life has never been the same.

When Quarriers support workers see families affected by an acquired brain injury, they’re often at crisis point. It’s overwhelming for the children – suddenly they might have to be quiet in the house, there might be no more going to the park, no more bedtime stories.

When a brain injury hits, people’s lives change dramatically, including their income. Even before coronavirus, the idea of a day out was beyond the wildest dreams of Jenna’s family.

Jenna has said her wish would be for a day at the zoo.

To have a normal family day out would be an important part of the rehabilitation for everyone. While we don’t know when that might happen, we want to make it happen as soon as it’s possible.

We need your help to get this family the break they need, and give Jenna a memorable childhood experience.

If we exceed the money needed, then your donation will be used where it’s needed most within Quarriers.
