The William Quarrier Scottish Epilepsy Centre provides the only residential assessment and treatment centre in Scotland for adults with epilepsy.

We are an independent hospital operated by health and social care charity Quarriers providing unique epilepsy services to patients and clinicians across Scotland. Our modern 12-bed inpatient facility provides flexible, patient-centred residential assessment for adults aged 16 years and over.

The centre also provides outpatient and telemedicine clinics.

Epilepsy Fieldwork Services

Quarriers provides Epilepsy Fieldwork Services across the north east of Scotland, supporting people in the community who have epilepsy as well as those who support them. We can help in providing accurate information on your specific type of epileptic seizure and the physical, social, emotional and psychological effects of living with the condition.


Healthcare Improvement Scotland ensure that healthcare services are meeting the required standards of care, that good practice is identified and areas for improvement are addressed.

Inspectors undertake announced and unannounced inspections at the centre. Inspection reports from each area of inspection are available on their website.
