Self Directed Support (SDS) is about you being in control of the support you need to live the life you want, your way. It offers choice, flexibility and control over the support when you need it.
You may also hear it also being described as “Personalisation”, “Direct Payments” or ”individual budgets”. It’s about giving you more control over your life and the way you want to live it. We can provide the self directed services you want and match these to your SDS funding.

We believe in putting you in the driving seat of the care and support you need. We will work in partnership with you to achieve the best outcomes in your life.

When we meet with you, we will discuss what kind of support you would like us to provide. We will also discuss the budget you have agreed with your social worker and how you plan to spend and manage this and we will answer any questions you have about Quarriers.
If you don’t yet have a support plan, we can help you organise what you need and give you some ideas on what might be possible. We will discuss how to get the most out of your money and can also arrange for our planning team to meet with you.
Once you have decided that you want Quarriers to provide your support, we will agree when this will start and how you want to be involved in recruiting the staff you need. We will agree how your money will be managed and define what is important to you and to us in making sure you get the right support.
When we are providing your support, we will make sure we respond to any changes that you want as quickly as possible.
