Policy

Quarriers’ policy work seeks to bring about positive change for vulnerable children, young people, adults and families who face extremely challenging circumstances such as homelessness, learning and physical disabilities and epilepsy.

Our key areas of activity

We engage with the policy environment through contributing to and informing current debates; influencing political decision making through formalised lobbying activities; and undertaking and commissioning research, as well highlighting learning from our extensive experience of service delivery. We collaborate with a network of third sector social care organisations to both influence and formulate policy. Our key areas of activity include:

  • consultation responses
  • publications and briefings
  • campaigns and coalitions

Engaging with MSPs

Quarriers engages with MSPs and Councillors to raise awareness of the work we do and the issues affecting the people we support.
