Support for unpaid carers

Support for carers of all ages in Glasgow, Dumfries and Galloway, and throughout the north east.

Service Finder

We provide support for unpaid carers of all ages through our dedicated services in Dumfries and Galloway, Glasgow and throughout the north east. We recognise that every caring situation is different and every carer is different too, so we work with you to help you prioritise your needs and help to reduce your caring role as much as possible. We can then help you to access the advice, information and support to best meet the needs of you and your family.

Carers provide unpaid support for a partner, relative, neighbour or friend. There is a wide range of reasons why they may not be able to care for themselves. They may:

  • have a physical or learning disability
  • misuse alcohol or drugs
  • be frail or elderly
  • have mental health problems
  • have a long-term illness

We provide support including advice and information, completing support plans, training, short breaks and giving you opportunities to connect with other carers.

Virtual Carers Centre
