Mark received vital support from Quarriers during his stay at the centre, and seeing the difference this made motivated Aimee to give something back. She wants to help raise funds so more people and families can receive the same care and support that helped her dad.
Aimee is a Primary 7 pupil from Cambuslang and she is a competitive dancer. She loves to stay active and is confident the challenge will come naturally to her, even though she knows it will be tough. She is excited, proud, and determined to reach the finish line on the day.
Living with epilepsy has had a big impact on Aimee and her family. On one occasion, Mark had a seizure while out walking, falling into the road. Aimee bravely stopped traffic to protect him and make sure he was safe. Moments like this mean Aimee often worries about her dad and takes great care of him.
By challenging herself to walk the Kiltwalk, Aimee hopes to make a difference for others affected by epilepsy and to say thank you to Quarriers for being there when her family needed support most.
