Overview

In line with The Promise, we are committed to keeping families together and supporting them with their wider social inequalities that impact their lives. Adopting a whole family rights-based approach with tailored and responsive support to meet their needs. We will work in partnership with families and children ensuring they are listened to, respected and involved in decisions that affect them, we offer support for children and family members affected by a loved one’s drug or alcohol use.

The children and family’s team are a part of Arrows, a Quarriers service which successfully provides drug and alcohol support in Moray.

Family members who are worried about a loved one’s substance abuse and all professionals who have concerns or involvement with families experiencing challenges related to substance use are being encouraged to refer directly to the service for help.

Quarriers Arrows Service

The Bow café

A drop-in community café run by Quarriers Arrows Service in Elgin

The café is supported by volunteers and Moray Food Plus who facilitate donations from local supermarkets such as Asda, Tesco, Grahams and Marks & Spencer. The partnership with the local stores ensures they have minimal food waste preventing good quality food going to landfill. The food recovery initiative allows the café to prepare and provide quality meals and fresh baking to be enjoyed by the public.
